(1.) "Thank you for letting us see how you made the puzzle for our Mom! We all had lot's of fun, and hope you did too!..."
(Reply;)No problem, believe me! That is the real reason we like to go to the craft shows, to let you see it in person.
(2.) "These are the last 4 pictures for this year. (Aren't my grandchildren gorgeous? ha! ha!). Hope I have beat your "Puzzle Rush" I know it will be a real surprise on Christmas AM. I love to build the curiousity!! You've done a great job for me, -- I am really Thankful...."
(Reply;)Thank you too, for your allowing us to help you with an unusual gift!
(3.) "I recieved your business card from a freind who had seen your work at one of the local shows and knew I would be interested in your puzzles. Could you please tell me what kind of photos to send?"
(Reply;) I sure will...you may send a snapshot of any reasonable size, a negative, or slide, a CD or a floppy, keep in mind however that the bigger it is to start with the better the detail will stay with the picture when we blow it up. (Please don't send us copyrighted material without the proper authorization to use it.) Pack it in such a way that the Postal Service will be able to handle it without damage, it will come back to you in the same package with your new puzzle.(Unless otherwise specified.)
(4.) "I just got my puzzle. I am really impressed! Your puzzles are even better in person than on your website! I would like to order a frame now, as I can see that this is something that will be an honor to display on the wall."
(5.) "Why would I want to see you at a show, if I can get my order as quickly as I just did?"
(Reply;)That certainly would be a matter of personal preference. At the show we actually do puzzles on site, and you get to watch! The young and old alike enjoy taking the puzzles home from the show. However, making an order from your home, is easy.
(6.) Dear Sistermaide; I really had fun watching you make my puzzle! I hope Daddy and Mommy bring me to see you again, will you still have the puzzle of the kitten for me and Daddy to play with while Mommy keeps talking and talking, and talking? Daddy helped me write this, he says I am making good letters!
(Reply;)The kitten puzzle won't always be with us, we have just changed a lot of our samples. Keep working on those letters, they are pretty good! I like the colors of letters you made too!
(7.) "Thanks for answering all my questions at the show. I have finally made up my mind which pictures to use for the puzzles. I have included stick-um notes with each photo, of how big, and how many pieces to do each one. Please notice the one that I would like cropped... ...I think the grandchildren will be surprised when they put themselves together!"
(Reply;)They probably will be surprised, I admit, that I am missing half the fun, seeing so many expressions of surprise.
(8.) "MAN !! you guys are such cut ups in person!, (punn intended!)"
(Reply;)Thanks,...I think..?...maybe that would explain why people just seem to 'go to pieces' in front of us?(reply punn intended also.)
(9.) I just have to let you know, how much fun we had on Christmas...I had taken the puzzles out of their package, and made sure I had every tiny piece dissassembled, put them in a pencil box, and didn't give the kids a clue what the pictures were! One of the children recognized their cousin's face on a piece, and the fun elevated from there! I will be ordering again, I can assure you.
(10.) Hi! I saw your booth ... do I send a check or money order thru the mail of what I want, and a picture, or what?! ... I seen the comments and someone said they send you the pictures with post it notes on what they wanted on each one. So do I send a picture with a paper saying if I want the 8'' Star, 12 pieces? How much does it cost all together with shipping and handling or is that in the order online prices already? Also, how fast does the making and shipping process take? A week or two?
thanks...
(Reply) Shipping is included in the price. The waiting time right now, on an order is approximately 3 weeks.
The way to send in your pictures is up to you, here are some of your options;
1.) You can send me an email, just like you did, but add your digital
picture file to it, by clicking your attach icon, (probably the paper clip
at the top of your screen.) then choose where you filed it in your computer,
clicking the 'OK's' when appropriate, and then in the text part of your
email, tell me what you would like, by looking on the price list. If you
would like the 8" star, for example, you would just say, I would like this
picture to be an 8" star with 10 pieces. If you have more than one picture,
for puzzles, you can put each one in a separate email, if you like, or you
put several in one email, but please make sure you specify which picture you
would like to be which puzzle. You may then decide how you would like to pay
for it. You may use PayPal, if you wish, just let me know, and I will send
you an email inviting you to do so, and all you have to do is follow
instructions in that email. it is simple, and you can use a credit card, or
check by that fashion. Now you can still use the personal check in the mail
if you like too, just write out that check to "Sistermaide" (in this
example,) for $14.49 and mail it to; Sistermaide, 6245 Pyrmont Rd.,
Lewisburg, OH 45338. The price to you is the same eithor way you pay.
2.) You could if you have your picture in snapshot format, negative or
slide, etc, or maybe a lot of them on a CD etc. you could just pack them
with a little protection, and stick them in your mailbox, with a note on
each one, as to your preference of puzzle pieces, and size. Maybe you might
say you want the 10" tree, 80 pieces. You could then stick in your check for
$19.99, as the shipping is included in that price.
If I have not fully answered all your questions, or if you think of more,
feel free to ask! I will be more than happy to anwer you again.
(11.) Hi,
I'm interested to purchase a 10x12 puzzle frame for my puzzle. I also have a question about the puzzle frame. I'm wondering how the puzzle stays in the frame and do I need to glue the puzzle to the frame after i put it in.
Thanks!
(Reply;)Glad you asked! I am excited to tell people that they do NOT need to glue their puzzle...IF... it is an interlocking puzzle. Interlocking puzzle pieces only need some slight pressure to the front and the back, to keep them from dismantling while in a vertical position.
My frames, have plexiglass fronts, instead of glass. (because my plan is, that they will be dismantled often, so safety is a good idea here.) I put my puzzle together on a surface with a straight edge, (card table usually works well.) then use a simple piece of corogated cardboard held against the edge of the table firmly, and slide the puzzle to, and over the edge to lay on the cardboard. Then I place the plexiglass on the top of that, so that the puzzle is now sandwiched between cardboard and plexiglass. I turn them face down into the back of the frame, and rotate the small turnbuckles that I make in the edges of the frames.
...Ready to hang!
